How it all started:
In 2017, our Founder, Michele Ladd had a calling from God to go out and seek to help others. As a mother of 2 Veterans, Michele knows well the struggles a Veteran can experience and she wanted to do something to help those that may need to know they are not alone and she wanted to help them find resources.
Michele left everything she knew and loved and started traveling the country in an RV and visited Military, Veterans and First Responders with her message to "Never give up hope or Faith".
Michele found hundreds willing to speak to her. They found comfort in her faith and shared their deepest emotions.
After years on the road alone, never feeling fear or failure, she met her love Randy (also a Veteran) and in 2020 he joined her and her ministry.
Together the couple travel where God calls them.
Please pray for their safety and to reach those that need them the most.
Our mission is to teach loved ones how to educate and assist family members and peers of Service Members, Veterans and First Responders the signs of PTSD and warning signs of suicide.
National Veteran Resources created Mothers of Veteran Suicide Outreach Program and our team attends events, visit churches, jail, programs and organizations to speak about mental health, PTSD and suicide prevention of our Military, Veterans and First Responders.
This program was developed in efforts to assist family members and congregations to work with their local communities to find resources for a loved one in crisis.
Since September 11, 2018, we have traveled to more than 30 States and more than 85,000 miles reaching thousands. We call our travels, Operation 22 to ZERO.
*Please note, we are not affiliated with the VA. We are simply a couple that truly cares for our heroes and want to do our part in making a difference.
In our efforts to reach as many as possible, we offer our online Outreach Program through Zoom and Facebook Meetings.
Our Founder, Michele Ladd will personally teach the program and in this photo, Michele is speaking with 4 mothers with the Facebook group Mothers of Veteran Suicide. These mothers all lost a Veteran child to suicide and together they share their stories to raise awareness to suicide.
The MOVS Outreach Program consists of:
Mental Health concerns
Warning signs of suicide
How to talk to your loved one
How to find resources
How to work with the community to raise awareness
